Dogs of the Waterfront: Meet Ranger

Friends of the Waterfront is back with a new installation in our Dogs of the Waterfront blog series. After being inspired by Humans of New York, we’re now featuring different dogs who are often found enjoying Louisville’s Waterfront Park.

Name: Ranger

Breed: Lab Retriever Mix

Age: 15 Months

Ranger is a gentle giant that brings a smile to everyone he meets! As a Paws with Purpose Assistance Dog in training, he is very confident and calm in public, and always on the go!

What’s your favorite thing to do at Waterfront Park?

I love to interact with all the people at the park. Sometimes you’ll even see me trying to catch the leaves!

What’s your favorite thing about Louisville?

I love the theater, arcade, and all the local festivals and events! I recently met a new friend at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade because of the IPA vest I was wearing.

What’s are some of your other hobbies?

I like to go out to eat, grab coffee, and even grocery shop. I also enjoy visiting patients in the hospital and work hard for treats or bites of kibble.

What’s your favorite toy?

While I love all toys, the ones that squeak are always the most fun to play with!
